Abstract
THE GOVERNOR'S PLANNING COMMITTEE ON CRIMINAL ADMINISTRATION (GPCCA) IS EVALUATED ON THE BASIS OF THEIR ANNUAL REPORTS, PROCEDURE MANUALS, GRANT APPLICATIONS, DATA BOOKS, AND BY INTERVIEWING THE MEMBERS OF THE GPCCA. AN OVERVIEW IS MADE OF THE LEAA AND GPCCA PROGRAMS IN THE AREAS OF COURTS, PROSECUTION, LAW ENFORCEMENT, AND CORRECTIONS. THE PROGRAMS, AS WELL AS THE PROGRAM ADMINISTRATION, ARE ANALYZED. CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS ARE MADE, ALTHOUGH GENERALLY THE LEAA AND GPCCA PROGRAMS WERE FOUND TO BE HIGHLY EFFECTIVE AND WELL ADMINISTERED....MSP
