Protocols involving woman abuse are proposed.
Abstract
This publication contains protocols to assist in the identification of, and provision of services to, abused women. The protocols include a statement of philosophy of the Government of New Brunswick regarding woman abuse, definitions of various kinds of abuse, pertinent legislative provisions, general indicators of woman abuse, intervention guidelines for social and income assistance workers and mental health, public health, emergency department, and school personnel, and intervention guidelines for the justice system. These protocols are presented in English and French.
