This biennial report (1979-81) describes the duties and activities of the Wisconsin Department of Justice's Legal Services Division, Criminal Investigation Division, Law Enforcement Services Division, Administrative Services Division, and Crime Victim Compensation and Witness Assistance Programs.
Abstract
It highlights the activities of each bureau within the various divisions and also covers the Board of Commissioners of Public Land. One of the accomplishments of the department was the publication of a summary of all criminal law court decisions handed down each month, as well as the complete text of all session laws amending State statutes on criminal prosecutions. A statewide arson tipline and reward fund was established, and an information campaign was conducted to inform the public about crime victim compensation and witness assistance services. An organizational chart is provided, and some statistics are cited.
