The problem of white-collar crime in Germany is discussed, and means of controlling it are recommended.
Abstract
Individual papers examine criminal policy concerning white-collar offenses, the relationship between the office of the public prosecutors and the police, and their collaborative efforts in apprehending and punishing white-collar criminals. Investigations of criminal cases in Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Great Britain, and the United States are reviewed. The crimes discussed include insurance abuse, theft, fraudulent bankruptcy claims, copyright violations, fraudulent acquisition of subsidies, and illegal employment (nonunion labor).
