Abstract
THE CONFERENCE SEEKS TO SHOW THE WIDE VARIETY OF LEGAL REGULATIONS AND LEGAL PRACTICE IN COUNTRIES WITH DIFFERENT SOCIAL STRUCTURES. TOPICS INCLUDE THE EXTENT AND NATURE OF WHITE-COLLAR CRIME IN THE UNITED STATES, THE GERMAN FEDERAL REPUBLIC, AUSTRIA, AND SWITZERLAND; PERSONALITY CHARACTERISTICS OF WHITE-COLLAR CRIMINALS WHICH ARE USEFUL TO INVESTIGATIVE AUTHORITIES, PSYCHOLOGICAL PROBLEMS LIKELY TO BE ENCOUNTERED IN DEALING WITH WHITE-COLLAR CRIMINALS, THE LIMITED EFFECT OF SWISS BANKS' CONFIDENTIALITY RULES ON WHITE-COLLAR CRIME, AND ECONOMIC PROBLEMS IN PREVENTING WHITE-COLLAR CRIME.
