Abstract
Individual sections focus on the establishment, purpose, and supervision of the criminal identification bureau; fingerprints, photographs, records, and other information maintained by the bureau; and offenses and penalties regarding access to and use of these records. Other sections focus on the establishment of a centralized database of DNA identification records in the division of public safety, the freedom of information law relating to the inspection and copying of public records, types of records exempt from the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act, and provisions regarding enforcement and penalties for violations of this law.
