While appellate court caseloads in Washington State continued to rise in 1982, lower court caseloads, after an extended period of growth, appeared to moderate.
Abstract
Information and statistics on intake, court activity, and outlook are provided for the supreme court, the court of appeals, the superior courts, and the courts of limited jurisidiction. Expenditures for court services are broken down into those incurred at the State and local levels. Included in the discussion of the activities of judicial administration is the work of task forces dealing with court congestion and delay, indigent fees, and canons of judicial ethics. Attention is also given to jury management, lay judge examinations, and uniform child support guidelines.
