GUIDE TO THE POWERS OF THE ENGLISH POLICE.
Abstract
THE ENGLISH LAWS CONCERNING SEARCH AND ENTRY ARE REVIEWED. THE VARIOUS STATUTORY PROVISIONS AND THE TEXTS OF THE MOST WIDELY USED POWERS TO ORDER SEARCH ARE SET OUT IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER ACCORDING TO SUBJECT MATTER. MODEL FORMS OF WARRANTS ARE ALSO INCLUDED. THE POWERS OF THE COURTS CONCERNING SEIZED PROPERTY ARE DISCUSSED. IN ADDITION, A CHECKLIST IS PROVIDED FOR MAGISTRATES WHO CONSIDER APPLICATIONS FOR SEARCH AND ENTRY WARRANTS.
