This pamphlet constitutes the annual report on the activities of the Department of State Police in Virginia for the calendar year 1981.
Abstract
It summarizes the status of the agency regarding personnel and training, enforcement activities, and volume of the central criminal records exchange. Additional subjects dealt with are analysis of traffic crashes, approval of safety devices, communications, finances, intradepartmental safety, and investigations. Still other topics include motor vehicle inspection, national and local participation, State-operated motor vehicle safety, traffic safety promotion, vehicle emissions inspection, and the Virginia criminal information network. Some tabular data are provided.
