Abstract
THE CONSULTANT'S ACTIVITY COVERED EXAMINATION OF THE CURRENT RECORD KEEPING PROCEDURES FOR THE CENTRAL RECORDS UNIT, THE RECORD FLOW AND PROCEDURES FOR EACH ELEMENT OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY, AND THE RECORD STORAGE THAT WOULD BE MOVED TO AN OPERATIONAL CENTRAL RECORDS UNIT AND ASSESSMENT OF THE STATE-OF-THE ART OF CRIME ANALYSIS AND ITS EFFECT ON POLICE OPERATIONS AND OF THE OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES OF THE PLANNING AND RESEARCH UNIT. THIS REPORT CONTAINS THE CONSULTANT'S FINDINGS, CONCLUSIONS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS AND SUGGESTIONS FOR THEIR IMPLEMENTATION FOR EACH ELEMENT OF THE PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT (POLICE, FIRE, CORRECTIONS).
