TESTIMONY WAS PRESENTED BY REPRESENTATIVES FROM GOVERNMENT (NEW YORK, CALIFORNIA, NEW JERSEY, NEBRASKA, ILLINOIS, AND MINNESOTA), THE NATIONAL DISTRICT ATTORNEYS ASSOCIATION AND ITS COMMISSION ON VICTIM WITNESS ASSISTANCE, THE CBS NEWS PROGRAMS '60 MINUTES,' THE NEW JERSEY VIOLENT CRIMES COMPENSATION BOARD, THE NATIONAL RETIRED TEACHERS ASSOCIATION, THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF RETIRED PERSONS, THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF CRIME VICTIM COMPENSATION BOARDS, THE NATIONAL COUNCIL ON CRIME AND DELINQUENCY, THE GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY LAW CENTER (WASHINGTON, D.C.), AND THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF POLICE ASSOCIATIONS.
