A DESCRIPTION OF A NEW ASSOCIATION OF SCHOOL BUSINESS OFFICIALS OF THE UNITED STATES AND CANADA STUDY OF THE NATURE AND EXTENT OF SCHOOL VANDALISM.
Abstract
A REVIEW OF THE LITERATURE IS SAID TO INDICATE THAT ALTHOUGH THE EXISTENCE OF THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN WELL DOCUMENTED. ITS NATURE HAS NOT BEEN CAREFULLY ANALYZED. THE PURPOSE OF THIS RESEARCH IS TO DETERMINE NATIONWIDE THE FREQUENCY, NATURE, AND COSTS OF ACTS OF VANDALISM WHICH ARE DIRECTED AT SCHOOL DISTRICTS AND TO EXAMINE EFFORTS TO ELIMINATE, REDUCE, OR IDEMNIFY SUCH LOSSES. THE RESEARCH DESIGN WILL INCLUDE A REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE, THE DEVELOPMENT AND DISTRIBUTION OF A QUESTIONNAIRE TO GATHER PERTINENT AND CODIFIABLE DATA CONCERNING THE FREQUENCY, NATURE, COST, AND PREVENTION OF VANDALISM IN SCHOOL DISTRICTS, AND A DOCUMENTED REPORT OF COLLECTED DATA WITH IMPLICATIONS AND CONCLUSIONS FOR PUBLICATION AND DISTRIBUTION.
