UTAH'S TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE NEEDS AND PLANS IN THE AREAS OF POLICE, JUDICIAL SYSTEMS, INFORMATION SYSTEMS, COMMUNITY CRIME PREVENTION, CORRECTIONS, AND MANAGEMENT ARE SET FORTH IN ORDER OF PRIORITY.
Abstract
THE STATE'S TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE PLANNING PROCESS AND DELIVERY SYSTEM ARE DESCRIBED BRIEFLY. INCLUDED ARE OVERVIEWS OF DATA COLLECTION METHODOLOGY; PARTICIPANTS IN THE PLANNING PROCESS; PROCEDURES FOR REQUESTING TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, FOR PREPARING A TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE WORKPLAN, AND FOR MONITORING AND EVALUATING TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE; FORMS AND INSTRUMENTS USED IN SUPPORT OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE DELIVERY; AND TIME REQUIREMENTS FOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE DELIVERY. TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE NEEDS AND PLANS ARE IDENTIFIED AND RANKED BY PRIORITY IN EACH OF THE CATEGORIES NOTED ABOVE. THE CATEGORIES CORRESPOND TO THOSE USED BY THE UTAH COUNCIL ON CRIMINAL JUSTICE ADMINISTRATION IN ITS COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING ACTIVITIES.
