Abstract
THE OBJECTIVES AND POLICIES OF THE STATE COUNCIL ON PEACE OFFICER STANDARDS AND TRAINING ARE OUTLINED, AS WELL AS THE BASIC COURSE CURRICULUM FOR RECRUITS WHICH THE COUNCIL DEVELOPED. OTHER ACTIVITIES WHICH ARE REVIEWED INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING - PARTICIPATION OF MUNICIPALITIES AND COUNTIES IN UTAH PEACE OFFICER STANDARDS AND TRAINING, OFFICERS TRAINED DURING THE GRANT PERIOD, LEGISLATIVE APPROPRIATIONS FOR TRAINING, COLLEGE POLICE SCIENCE COURSES DEVELOPED DURING THE GRANT PERIOD, AND SPECIAL TRAINING PROGRAMS AND OBJECTIVIES.
