Many microwave systems today transmit high-quality video signals.

Abstract

Some of the systems are of outstanding quality with significantly more advanced technical performance than is needed for the application. In this case, an independent video channel can be added to utilize the available excess performance. This can be done without operating license modification if the bandwidth limitations are not exceeded. The method which effectively conserves valuable space in the radio frequency spectrum is discussed. 5 figures, 1 table. (Author abstract modified)
