Abstract
THE BASE EXPECTANCY SCORING SYSTEM IS A PAROLE PREDICTION DEVICE USED TO MEASURE THE PROBABILITY OF FAVORABLE ADJUSTMENT OF PAROLEES. THE STUDY INVOLVED THE USE OF A MODIFIED VERSION OF THIS SYSTEM IN RATING MALE ADULT OFFENDERS IN TERMS OF FAVORABLE TO UNFAVORABLE PAROLE ADJUSTMENTS. SUCH PREDICTION DEVICES ARE EXPECTED TO FACILITATE PAROLE AND PROBATION CASELOAD MANAGEMENT.
