A DESCRIPTION OF THE SECURITY MEASURES TAKEN AT THE U.S. OPEN GOLF TOURNAMENT TO COVER SUCH OPERATIONS AS TICKET SELLING, PARKING, CROWD CONTROL, FIRST AID, AND PROTECTION OF THE COURSE.
Abstract
IT IS NOTED THAT POLITENESS WAS A MAJOR POLICY DURING THE TOURNAMENT. SECURITY GUARDS WERE DRESSED IN BLAZER UNIFORMS AND WERE INSTRUCTED TO REQUEST, RATHER THAN DEMAND, COMPLIANCE WITH THEIR INSTRUCTIONS. THE GUARD POSTS, RADIO COMMUNICATIONS, AND PHYSICAL SECURITY EFFORTS ARE ALL EXAMINED....DMC
