Further chapters define sentencing for 19 general categories of offenses and specific offenses within each category. Additional sections explain sentencing adjustments based on victim-related factors, obstruction, multiple counts, and acceptance of responsibility. Other chapters discuss the use of information regarding the offender's criminal history, the use of the sentencing table and other information to determine a sentence, sentencing procedures, plea agreements, and violations of probation and supervised release. Appendixes presenting a statutory index and the text of authorizing legislation and related sentencing provisions.
