Abstract
This report contains 11 chapters on the work of United Nations Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice from the 19th session held on December 4, 2009, and from May 17-21, 2010. The chapters cover the following: 1) Matters calling for action by the Economic and Social Council or brought to its attention that include draft resolutions to be recommended by the Economic and Social Council for adoption by the General Assembly, draft resolutions for adoption by the Economic and Social, draft decision for adoption by the Economic and Social, and matters brought to the attention of the Economic and Social; 2) Thematic discussion on protection against illicit trafficking in cultural property; 3) Integration and coordination of efforts by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and by Member States in the field of crime prevention and criminal justice; 4) World crime trends and emerging issues and responses in the field of crime prevention and criminal justice; 5) Consideration of the conclusions and recommendations of the 12th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice; 6) Use and application of United Nations standards and norms in crime prevention and criminal; 7) Strategic management, budgetary and administrative questions; 8) Provisional agenda for the 20th session of the Commission; 9) Other business; 10) Adoption of the report of the Commission on its 19th session; and 11) Organization of the session.
