This report provides information on drug epidemiology in 16 European countries as of May 1994.
Abstract
The countries are Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland. The Croatia report provides a general review of drug issues and discussions of policy issues, and epidemiological data. In Croatia the high volume of heroin supply continues, and the illegal cultivation and use of cannabis and the illegal trade of dried poppy-heads are also spreading. The Cyprus report provides a general review of drug issues (low level of drug use) and profiles of policy issues, drug legislation, and research/studies. The Denmark report addresses a general review of drug issues, policy issues, and epidemiological data. Similar information is provided for the remaining countries, along with tabular data. The reports of France, Luxembourg, and Switzerland are in French. The rest are in English.
