Crimson Trace Corporation in Portland, Oregon, is at the forefront of laser technology for police firearms, and the corporation has developed a laser sight known as Lasergrip for several popular police handguns.
Abstract
The Lasergrip is not significantly thicker than factory grip panels, even though the entire laser system, batteries, and switch are installed in the right hand grip panel. The laser is at the top of the right panel aimed down the side of the frame, and it is adjustable for both elevation and windage by a tiny Allen wrench. The Lasergrip is currently available for Colt Government Models and most variants. Benefits of the Lasergrip include low-light shooting, its value in resolving a potential deadly force encounter, and improved accuracy. In addition, using the Lasergrip requires very little additional training and no major muscle memory training. 2 photographs
