Abstract
THE NARRATOR DISCUSSES THE IMPORTANCE OF COMMUNICATION IN EFFECTIVE TASK ACCOMPLISHMENT AND PRESENTS THE ESSENTIAL PRINCIPLES AND INGREDIENTS OF GOOD COMMUNICATION. FOLLOWING THE ARTICULATION OF EACH ASPECT OF GOOD COMMUNICATION, THE PRINCIPLE IS ILLUSTRATED IN DRAMATIC PRESENTATIONS THAT PORTRAY ITS PROPER APPLICATION IN CONTRACT TO POOR COMMUNICATION TECHNIQUE. EMPHASIS IS PLACED UPON THE COMMUNICATOR AS THE ONE WITH PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY FOR EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION, SHARED FEELING AND UNDERSTANDING IS CONSIDERED THE ESSENCE OF COMMUNICATION. THE NOURISHMENT OF TRUST AND RESPECT FOR THE COMMUNICATOR ALONG WITH CANDOR, HONESTY, AND SINCERITY ARE CONSIDERED IMPORTANT FOR COMMUNICATION. WHILE COMMUNICATION ABOUT WEAKNESS IN PERFORMANCE IS NECESSARY, DWELLING ON STRENGTH AND ACHIEVEMENTS IS DEEMED THE BEST FOUNDATION FOR OPENING UP RELAXED SHARING OF THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS.
