A WEST GERMAN SOCIAL THERAPIST DISCUSSES HOW DEALING WITH HIS OWN STRONG POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE EMOTIONAL REACTIONS TO THE PERSONALITIES AND EXPERIENCES OF ASOCIAL JUVENILES IS ONE OF A THERAPIST'S MOST IMPORTANT TASKS.
Abstract
THE EMOTIONS INEVITABLY FELT BY THE THERAPIST REFLECT THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN HIS OWN SOCIALLY ADAPTIVE DEVELOPMENT AND THE SOCIALLY MALADAPTIVE DEVELOPMENT OF THE ASOCIAL JUVENILE. THE AUTHOR BRIEFLY PRESENTS HIS THERAPEUTIC APPROACH WHICH IS BASED ON ESTABLISHING THE KIND OF OPEN INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION WITH THE CLIENT WHICH HE HAS LACKED IN HIS DEVELOPMENT. --IN GERMAN
