Abstract
THE TOPICS DISCUSSED INCLUDE JOB OPPORTUNITIES, THE PREVAILING POLITICAL-LEGAL POLICY TOWARDS IMMIGRATION, AND THE CULTURES AND CONDITIONS OF LOCAL IMMIGRANT GROUPS. ALSO CONSIDERED ARE THE NATURE OF THE HOST COMMUNITY, THE NATURE AND QUALITY OF LOCAL SOCIAL AND YOUTH ORGANIZATION, AND THE LOCAL COMMUNITY RELATIONS COUNCILS. THE PRESENCE OF POLITICAL RACIAL EXTREMISTS GROUPS IS BRIEFLY DESCRIBED. POLICE POLICIES AND ACTION IN DEALING WITH THE PROBLEMS OF POLICING INNER CITY IMMIGRANT DISTRICTS ARE ALSO EXAMINED.
