A SUMMARY OF THE 1975 ACTIVITIES OF THE TEXAS ORGANIZED CRIME PREVENTION COUNCIL, WITH AN ANALYSIS BY THE COUNCIL OF THE EXTENT AND SIGNIFICANCE OF ORGANIZED CRIME IN TEXAS.
Abstract
THE COUNCIL IS CHARGED WITH DEVELOPING A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR THE SUPPRESSION OF ORGANIZED CRIME IN TEXAS, TO PREVENT FURTHER ENCROACHMENT OF ORGANIZED CRIME IN THE STATE, AND TO COORDINATE THE ACTIVITIES OF LAW ENFORCEMENT AND PROSECUTING AGENCIES IN THE STATE IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF AN ORGANIZED CRIME CONTROL PROGRAM. THIS REPORT DETAILS THE COUNCIL'S FINDINGS ON THE EXTENT OF ORGANIZED CRIME IN TEXAS, PRESENTS AN OVERVIEW OF THE COUNCIL CONCERNS IN DEVELOPING A STATE PLAN, MAKES RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SUPPRESSION OF ORGANIZED CRIME, AND PRESENTS THE COUNCIL ACTIVITIES AND OBJECTIVES FOR 1976.
