Abstract
Claiming responsibility for the bombings on July 7, 1990 of several buildings in San Sebastian, Spain, Iraultza is a small Spanish Basque group that is the militant aim of the Basque Communist Party. The targets were chosen amidst a backdrop of increasing State involvement against a group of political prisoners. The Revolutionary Organization: 17 November, a Greek Marxist-Leninist terrorist group, claims responsibility for the February 21, 1985 assassination in Athens of Nikos Momferatos, publisher of Greece's largest conservative newspaper, and his driver. This group has accused the Greek press of misinformation, systemic distortion of the truth, and disorientation and deceit of the people to serve the interests of imperialism and the grand bourgeois class. Also claiming responsibility for the March 12, 1991 assassination in Athens of U.S. Air Force Sergeant Ronald Stewart, this group claims the American forces is a "criminal genocide machine" as a result of the Gulf War. GRAPO (The First of October Anti-Fascist Resistance Group) discusses the assassination of a Spanish physician in 1990. (Author abstract modified)
