TERRORIST TACTICS AND GOALS ARE DESCRIBED, AND THE KIDNAPPING OF CORPORATE EXECUTIVES IS SHOWN TO SERVE THOSE GOALS IN CERTAIN INSTANCES, LEADING TO A NECESSITY FOR COUNTERMEASURES.
Abstract
IT IS SUGGESTED THAT POTENTIAL TARGETS LIMIT THE AVAILABILITY OF INFORMATION CONCERNING THEMSELVES, AVOID PATTERNED BEHAVIOR, AND BE ALERT FOR SIGNS OF SURVEILLANCE WHICH MIGHT OTHERWISE BE DISMISSED AS COINCIDENCE. THE USE OF SECURITY SYSTEMS IS ALSO RECOMMENDED.
