FOLLOWING THE INSTITUTION OF THE LAW ENFORCEMENT CANDIDATE ASSESSMENT PROGRAM (LECAP) WHICH ESTABLISHED STANDARDS FOR CANDIDATE SELECTION, THIS EVALUATION WAS UNDERTAKEN TO ASSESS THE PERFORMANCE OF THE SELECTEES.
Abstract
IN ORDER TO EVALUATE LECAP SERVICES, THE EVALUATORS HAVE RANDOMLY SELECTED CERTIFIED CANDIDATES FROM RURAL AND URBAN LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES AS RESEARCH SUBJECTS. A QUESTIONNAIRE WAS SENT TO THE APPROPRIATE AGENCY OF EACH CANDIDATE. THE CONTENT OF THE QUESTIONNAIRE WAS CONCERNED WITH THE CANDIDATE'S PERFORMANCE AS A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER AND WITH THE SUPERVISOR'S FEELINGS ABOUT THE QUALITY OF LECAP SERVICES. ACCORDING TO THE FINDINGS, MOST OF THE LECAP CONSUMERS WERE SATISFIED WITH THE PROGRAM. THE ONLY DATA IN THIS REPORT ARE CONCERNED WITH THE SUPERVISOR'S FEELINGS ABOUT LECAP AND NOT WITH THE PERFORMANCE OF CERTIFIED CANDIDATES.
