This document describes information services, technical assistance, and training programs for correctional practitioners working in all corrections disciplines in Federal, State, and local adult corrections agencies. Training programs in leadership and management are described, along with information on the NIC e-learning center. The components helping agencies build capacity for training are the training programs, videoconference, distance learning, the e-learning center, and a national training network. Training programs, technical assistance, and publications regarding staff sexual misconduct, offender job training, and women offenders, and correctional health care are discussed. Jail programs and services, specifically jail administration, inmate behavior management, new jail planning, educating local officials and the community, standards and inspections, and mental health services, are examined. Prison programs and services, including management, operations, culture, and health care, are explored. Finally, community corrections programs and services are discussed. This includes executive orientation, effective offender management, management and operations, international assistance, information services, technical assistance, videoconferences, distance learning training, and the NIC e-learning center. Copies of application forms are included.
