This report presents the findings of a baseline crime victimization survey conducted in two public housing sites.
Abstract
These findings are part of a test of the validity of security hardware standards developed by NBS. Included in this report is an explanation of the methodology used, demographic and behavior patterns, physical characteristics, and the crime victimization experienced at both sites. Conclusions include the observation that crime patterns indicate the usual complex variables at work and causal relationships are conjectured to be number and skill of criminals, access and exposure of entry portals, number of resident adults in the household, and quality of the building/site security system.
