THIS PAPER EXAMINES COURT SCHEDULING PROBLEMS, AUTOMATED SCHEDULING SYSTEMS, AND SCHEDULING APPROACHES AND OUTLINES A PREFERRED APPROACH TO PLANNING A SCHEDULING SYSTEM.
Abstract
IN THE FIRST SECTION, THE IMPORTANCE OF SCHEDULING, CONSTRAINTS ON SCHEDULING, KINDS OF SYSTEM FAILURE, AND THE ECONOMIC IMPACT OF INEFFECTIVE SCHEDULING ARE DISCUSSED. THE RESULTS OF A STUDY OF AUTOMATED COURT CASE SCHEDULING ARE PRESENTED, AND THREE REPRESENTATIVE SYSTEMS ARE COMPARED.
