Abstract
The discussion emphasizes that no single approach is applicable to every case. Individual sections present offender profiles and explain the biological influences, childhood experiences, sociocultural factors, and immediate circumstances that lead to sex offending. Further sections explain the goals of treatment, the denial that is typical of sex offenders, and the steps involved in assessing an offender.
