Abstract
A SERIES OF SUGGESTIONS ARE OFFERED ON RUNAWAY AWARE OF THE DANGERS AND IMPLICATIONS OF RUNNING AWAY FROM HOME. TYPES OF EVIDENCE THAT SHOULD BE GATHERED AND TYPICAL INITIAL INVESTIGATION QUESTIONS ARE REVIEWED. THE ROLE AND ACTIVITIES OF THE POLICE, THE SCHOOL, AND THE PARENTS IN THE INVESTIGATIVE PROCESS ARE THEN OUTLINED. ON RECOVERY OF THE JUVENILE, IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT A FONCERENCE BETWEEN THE YOUTH, THE PARENTS, AND THE JUVENILE OFFICER BE HELD TO DETERMINE THE CURRENT STATE OF FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS AND POSSIBLE DISPOSITIONS FOR THE YOUTH. A LIST OF SUGGESTED DISPOSITIONS AS PROVIDED.
