THIS CONFERENCE EXPLORED THE FEASIBILITY OF APPLYING THEORY AND TECHNIQUES IN CONFLICT RESOLUTION TO THE PROBLEMS OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE.
Abstract
PARTICIPANTS WERE MATURE, PUBLIC OFFICIALS, WITH SOME COLLEGE EXPERIENCE. THE PROGRAM, BASED ON QUESTIONNAIRES FILLED OUT BY THE PARTICIPANTS, ANALYZED CONFLICT BASED ON DISSENT, ROLE CONFLICT, DIFFERENTIAL INTEREST, AND PERCEPTUAL DISTORTION. AN ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY COVERS INTERPERSONAL CONFLICT, INTERGROUP CONFLICT, INTERORGANIZATIONAL CONFLICT, AND GENERAL COMMENTS.
