THE CHICAGO POLICE DEPARTMENT DEVELOPED A PREDICTIVE VALIDATION PROGRAM USING THE PERSONAL HISTORY FORM AND SENTENCE COMPLETION TEST OF MANAGEMENT PSYCHOLOGISTS,INC.
Abstract
OF THE DIFFERENT CRITERIA USED FOR VALIDATION THE MPI RATINGS SEEMED THE MOST 'CULTURE FAIR', I.E., LESS BIASED IN TERMS OF THE INDIVIDUAL'S CULTURAL BACKGROUND. THE RATINGS DO NOT YIELD A QUANTITATIVE SCORE, BUT RATHER ARE BASED ON PROFESSIONAL JUDGMENT, TAKE PERSONALITY AND SOCIAL CLASS FACTORS INTO ACCOUNT, AND LOOK AT THE INDIVIDUAL AS A WHOLE.
