A DESCRIPTION OF CRIME CAUSATION STUDIES BEING CARRIED OUT BY THE HOME OFFICE RESEARCH UNIT.
Abstract
ONE SUCH PROJECT COMPRISES AN INTENSIVE STUDY OF ALL ASPECTS OF CRIME IN A TOWN OF 100,000 IN NORTHERN ENGLAND. A SET OF STUDIES IS BEING CARRIED OUT IN SEVERAL CITIES ON VANDALISM. FUTURE RESEARCH IS SUGGESTED IN THE AREA OF THE RELATION OF CRIME WITH CERTAIN GEOGRAPHICAL AREAS, ESPECIALLY CONCENTRATIONS OF PROBLEM FAMILIES.
