REPORT PROVIDES INFORMATION ON THE OBJECTIVES OF THE SURVEY, PROCEDURES USED TO DESIGN THE SAMPLE AND QUESTIONNAIRES, AND THE INSIGHTS GAINED FROM STUDYING THE COMPLETED QUESTIONNAIRES.
Abstract
THE SURVEY WAS CONDUCTED AS PART OF AN EVALUATION OF THE OPERATION IDENT PROJECT OF THE ST LOUIS HIGH IMPACT ANTI-CRIME PROGRAM. THE OBJECTIVES OF THE OPERATION IDENT PROJECT INCLUDE EDUCATING THE PUBLIC WITH REGARD TO THE RISK OF RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY AND THE REDUCTION OF RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY BY MAKING STOLEN ITEMS EASIER TO IDENTIFY. THE REPORT CONCLUDES WITH A BRIEF DISCUSSION OF THE VALUE OF THE TELEPHONE SURVEY AS AN EVALUATIVE TOOL AND OF THE COST OF THE SURVEY. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT)...KAP
