A MONTH-BY-MONTH AND OBJECTIVE-BY-OBJECTIVE SUMMARY OF A PROJECT DIRECTED AGAINST BURGLARIES AND AGGRAVATED ROBBERIES IN HIGH-CRIME PRECINCTS IN DENVER.
Abstract
NUMEROUS AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHS AND MAPS COMPLEMENT THE MONTHLY ACTIVITIES REPORTS. TABLES AND STATISTICS GIVEN IN THE ANALYSIS BY OBJECTIVES INDICATE THAT SCAT WAS EFFECTIVE IN REDUCING BURGLARIES. A 20 PERCENT DECREASE WAS EXPERIENCED WHEN COMPARED TO THE PREVIOUS NINE-MONTH PERIOD IN THE NINE PRECINCTS IN WHICH SCAT OPERATED. THE INCIDENCE OF AGGRAVATED ROBBERY, HOWEVER, WAS NOT AFFECTED SIGNIFICANTLY BY SCAT ALTIVITIES.
