Abstract
DISCUSSED ARE THE DEFINITION OF PROBABLE CAUSE, FINDING PROBABLE CAUSE FOR THE PLANNED ARREST, THE ADVANTAGE OF BUILDING UP PROBABLE CAUSE, AND THE USE OF INFORMANTS TO BUILD PROBABLE CAUSE. A LANDMARK SUPREME COURT DECISION, DRAPER V. UNITED STATES, IS ALSO EXAMINED. IN THIS CASE THE COURT RULED THAT INFORMATION SUPPLIED BY AN INFORMANT CONSTITUTED PROBABLE CAUSE FOR BELIEF OF GUILT.
