Abstract
The report outlines findings from the Review of Policing which began in 1991 and was completed during the reporting period. The review was comprised of four stages, which included determining the role of policing for the future, reviewing of police functions, reviewing existing organizational structures and systems, and reviewing the career structure of policing for professionalism. The report outlines the department's organizational structure, corporate goals, and statement of values. It summarizes activities of the commissioner's command, human resources command, corporate services command, deputy commissioner's command, crime command, northern command, southern command, and operations support command.
