STATE AND FEDERAL SOURCES OF INFORMATION ARE LISTED IN A HANDBOOK FOR NEW JERSEY LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS.
Abstract
THE HANDBOOK WAS PREPARED AS A REFERENCE TOOL FOR PARTICIPANTS IN TRAINING COURSES ON THE INVESTIGATION OF ECONOMIC CRIME AND OFFICIAL CORRUPTION. IT LISTS BY SUBJECT (AGRICULTURE, BANKING, INSURANCE, LABOR AND INDUSTRY, ETC.) GOVERNMENT SOURCES OF INFORMATION AND RECORDS AT THE STATE AND FEDERAL LEVELS. THE TELEPHONE NUMBER AND ADDRESS OF EACH AGENCY LISTED, AND IN MOST CASES A BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INFORMATION AND RECORDS AVAILABLE FROM THE AGENCY, ARE PROVIDED. ALSO INCLUDED ARE LISTS OF NEW JERSEY PROSECUTOR'S OFFICES, SELECTED DISTRICT ATTORNEYS' OFFICES IN NEW YORK AND PENNSYLVANIA, AND MUNICIPAL AND COUNTY SOURCES OF INFORMATION IN NEW JERSEY. AN OCCUPATIONAL CROSS-REFERENCE INDICATES THE STATE OR FEDERAL AGENCY RESPONSIBLE FOR LICENSING EACH OF 200 OCCUPATIONS AND PROFESSIONS. AN OUTLINE OF NEW JERSEY STATUTES ON WHITE-COLLAR AND RELATED CRIMES IS PROVIDED, AS IS AN INDEX. (LKM)
