THE EFFECTS OF SPECIALLY-DESIGNED SHORT RANGE AMMUNITION ON HUMAN CADAVERS AND SIMILATED AIRCRAFT WALLS ARE REPORTED.
Abstract
THIS AMMUNITION RESEMBLES A NORMAL CARTRIDGE, BUT IT CONTAINS A POUCH HOLDING LEAD SHOT. THE AMMUNITION WOULD NOT PENETRATE THE SIMULATED AIRCARFT WALL AT RANGES GREATER THAN SIX FEET. FURTHERMORE, THE LEAD SHOT WOULD NOT EXIT THE CADAVER UNDER ANY CONDITIONS. THE APPLICATIONS OF THIS AMMUNITION TO HIJACKING SITUATIONS ARE DISCUSSED.
