Intended to assist California law enforcement and criminal justice trainers in developing appropriate lesson plans relating to sex crimes, this manual presents definitions, case law, excerpts of California law, and related information regarding nine performance objectives contained in the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training Basic Course.
Abstract
The topics covered include indecent exposure, oral copulation, incest, registered sex offenders, rape, spousal rape, penetration with a foreign object, and sexual battery. The definitions are intended to enable students who are given a word picture depicting a possible offense to determine if the crime is complete and, if it is complete, to state its common name and classification. 6 references
