This report presents statistics on court appearances before the nine penal courts of the city of Barcelona in 1991 in Cataluna, a region of Spain, in which 3,510 persons appeared in 2,886 proceedings, including heroin addicts.
Abstract
Statistics are presented by sex, by number of previous appearances in court, age at sentencing and commission of crime, type of crime, and number actually sentenced. Statistics are also given for number of heroin addicts sentenced, age at which heroin addiction began, type of crime committed, and number of sentences per addict in 1991.
