Abstract
SAMPLE TOPICS COVERED IN THE SEMINAR INCLUDE ALCOHOLISM AND THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE POPULATION, ALCOHOLISM TREATMENT PROGRAMS FOR PAROLEES AND INMATES, AND AGENCY SUITABILITY FOR ADMINISTRATION OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE ALCOHOLISM PROGRAMS. THE SEMINAR MEMBERS CONCLUDED THAT ALCOHOL TREATMENT PROGRAMS CANNOT FUNCTION EFFECTIVELY IN THE TRADITIONAL PENAL INSTITUTIONAL SETTING UNLESS CERTAIN CONDITIONS SUCH AS SEPARATE TREATMENT UNITS ARE PROVIDED.
