This survey examines and correlates data collected at 2-week intervals in Nassau County, N.Y., in June and July 1982 and compares it to data collected in 1981 to analyze the incarcerated population of the Nassau County Correctional Center.
Abstract
Tables and graphs present data on reasons for incarceration (population profile, violent to property crime comparison, Part I crime comparison, arrest to incarceration comparison, category profile) and sentences of the timer population (sentence distribution by month, length of sentence by crime, demographic characteristics of timers, etc.). An appendix lists Part I offenses.
