Abstract
These papers focus on several criminal justice issues. One discusses some characteristics of the application of the Japanese criminal justice system, while another explores the criminal justice system of Singapore. A second author examines the social functions of the criminalization process as well as the role of criminal justice as an alternative in dispute settlements. Two articles dealing with Scandinavian issues analyze the ideology of crime control in that region and Scandinavian developments in juvenile crime prevention. Chapter references
