Abstract
The handbook discusses applications of private security to various industries, personnel management and training, and public relations techniques. Security managers should concern themselves with ensuring proper use of uniforms and use of weapons, vehicles, communications and alarm systems, and special partners (dogs, horses, and their training and costs). Martial arts and firearms training are important security concerns, and patrol procedures must be clarified along with search and arrest techniques. Special equipment and training are required to handle riots, medical emergencies, and disasters, and techniques to combat terrorism and other crimes should be learned. The report also covers tips on completing paperwork and views security from the corporate policy and legal viewpoints. Hospital security management techniques are also described.
