Abstract
THE NATURE OF INVESTIGATIVE WORK IS DESCRIBED, WITH ATTENTION TO THE SKILLS AND TECHNIQUES NECESSARY TO CONDUCT INVESTIGATIONS EFFECTIVELY. THE VARIOUS TYPES OF INVESTIGATIONS, PEOPLE, AND SITUATIONS A SECURITY INVESTIGATOR CAN EXPECT TO ENCOUNTER ARE DISCUSSED, ALONG WITH THE LEGAL RAMIFICATIONS OF THE INVESTIGATOR'S ACTIONS.
