Abstract
Through anticipation, recognition, and appraisal of crime risks, security inspections are one of the most effective crime prevention techniques offered by law enforcement agencies. One of the major causes of business failure in the security industry is lack of marketing; this guide outlines marketing strategies and directing services. Key element of service delivery include the initial contact, confidentiality, professionalism, and communications. The security inspection procedure itself entails collection and analysis of data, interviews with legitimate users, analysis of security management, survey of physical and environmental security, and developing recommendations. The agency must then prepare a security inspection report and evaluation of the service.
